Our committees are at work for you!

JAMA is the county's leading advocate for best practices in manufacturing, health care, training and education. Our committees are behind the scenes creating and implementing plans that benefit your company. Help shape those plans by becoming a JAMA member and getting involved!

Committees work on various projects undertaken by JAMA. Member participation on these committees is essential. It brings the membership closer together and forms a nucleus from which Board Members and Officers are recruited. All members are invited to participate.

The following committees welcome your participation:

Health Care Committee - Monitors health care activities and creates or promotes legislation regarding health care cost containment and other health care issues that affect manufacturers and all businesses.

Legislative Committee - Monitors federal, state and local government affairs activities to safeguard business interests regarding legislation, regulations and other controls that affect business operations. Focus has included single business tax reductions, worker's compensation reform, environmental issues and economic development legislation.

Training Committee - Provides input and direction on JAMA's various training initiatives, seminars and partnerships with various third-party training/education resources.

Membership Committee - Develops strategies and materials designed to promote JAMA membership; works to encourage and retain participation and membership in JAMA; calls on new members to make them feel welcome and calls on members who may be reconsidering their membership. NOTE: The functions of this committee are currently performed by the JAMA Board.

RaceWeek Go-Kart Challenge Committee - This committee seeks sponsorships and team registrations, and undertakes other planning activities related to this event held each summer in late July.

Annual Golf Outing Committee - JAMA hosts a golf outing each summer in early August. More than 30 teams participate in a day of golf, food and networking. This committee organizes the event, seeks door prize donations and sponsorships, and completes the many tasks associated with putting on this popular event.

Annual Dinner Committee - JAMA hosts their annual dinner meeting in January. More than 340 members attend for a night of awards, food, and networking. This committee gives direction on guest speakers and the evening’s theme, as well as selects recipients of JAMA's annual Manufacturer, Educator and Student of the Year awards.
