Founder and Principal Consultant: Global Asset Management
Founded an asset management, valuation and tax planning consulting company to deal with all aspects of property portfolios review and analysis. Primary contract with PPG Canada and PPG Industries – US. Responsible for all planning and implementation strategies relating to over $1 billion in assets in both the US and Canada. Responsible for maintaining open communication with the senior management of PPG, government officials in both the US and Canada and strategic alliance partners.
Accomplishments:
· Successfully managed the Canadian based property portfolio and reduced property tax liability by $1 million dollars through direct negotiations with the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation.
· Created a strategic plan for Global Asset Management for PPG Industries and helped to successfully implement those strategies, resulting in net book value reductions and corporate cost savings.
JohnBernard LLC, Royal Oak, MI. 2003-2005
National Director: Property Consulting Services.
Developed a unified practice by implementing a matrix driven plan to manage staffing and execution of all complex projects for new and existing clients. Created a team environment with special attention to quality service and worked to increase cost containment. Created service lines that were not part of the original practice and successfully provided these to existing and new clients in both the US and Canada. Created a Business Development Plan for the Firm and added new clients and engagements for Firm growth. Worked to build strategic alliances and partnerships and enhance the performance of the team in value added situations.
Accomplishments:
· Successfully grew the practice from seven to fifteen members, added several new service lines in one year, and increased the Firm’s revenue by approximately $1million while working on over $1 million of existing engagements.
· Added several new clients in both the US and Canada and more than tripled the number of projects for the Team.
Burr Wolff, Mount Laurel, NJ. 1999-2003
Created a Northeast and Midwest Regional Practice in conjunction with a national expansion focus. Provided services in over 27 states with three senior consultants and support staff in offices across the region. Provided oversight of the regional practice in the specific service areas of Personal Property Compliance and Consulting, and Real Property Consulting and Appeal, with a Complex Properties emphasis and managed Outsourcing engagements at the national level. Directly responsible for Business Development while supervising three Business Development Managers to assure a cohesive marketing and operational initiative, resulting in client satisfaction in all aspects of the engagement with high client retention.
Accomplishments:
· Coordinated several new multi-service engagements to integrate the existing practice orientation into the new cohesive national plan across divisional lines. Successfully grew the practice by adding new offices and personnel, adding services to existing clients and bringing new clients to the company and increased the Firm’s regional revenue to $2.4 million.
· Developed a team approach for the region, utilizing several leadership and management tools, to form a cohesive and integrated group of professionals with specific goals and objectives matched to action steps that encourage both personal and corporate success.

Senior Manager, East Coast Practice Leader, and Business Development Coordinator: Property Tax Services
Coordinated the East Coast Region Practice resulting in both personnel and client expansion and managed the practices in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Miami. Coordinated several large engagements for clients with national portfolios producing expanded service opportunities and increased revenue. Served as liaison between the Property Tax Service Group and the Financial Service Group and provided cross-functional continuity with customer focus emphasis. Worked directly with the State & Local Tax group on cross-selling initiatives and brought new clients and projects to the Firm.
Accomplishments:
· Involved in the first International Property Tax engagement with Ontario, Canada, which provided for the interaction of the Firm on an international and governmental level.
· As Business Development Coordinator, created a new marketing and practice development initiative for Top-Tier Clients and non-clients resulting in a significant revenue driver and revenue of over $1 million.

Coordinated the East Region and Metro Property Tax practice and provided business opportunities resulting in personnel increase and revenue growth. Provided technical and consulting support for major national clients resulting in successful engagements and increased client satisfaction. Negotiated successful settlements across the country and allowed for new service opportunities with existing clients and increased revenue. Gained appraisal expertise while working on large industrial facilities and created an industry specialization and the ability to build on this valuation foundation with other industry and service specialties.

Senior Staff, Tax Agent: Property Tax Services
Assisted in opening the Philadelphia office in the Mid-Atlantic region and reviewing the existing and new portfolio to identify appeal opportunities and successfully reduce client tax liability. Filed and negotiated property tax reductions with excellent results for the client and the company. Served on the technology team and assisted in the transition of data management from mainframe to PC. Established the team approach to property tax services by coordinating efforts of consultants, attorneys and appraisers and complying with the new emerging state rules and regulations.
Cole-Layer-Trumble Company, Dayton, OH. 1980-1989
Coordinated Quality Control initiatives for projects and implemented them on both the county and state level. Final project before moving into a consulting role was to manage the highly visible valuation, public relations and human resource aspects of the largest revaluation project in New York State.
