Dear Parents: Welcome to the JAMA School-To-Work website. This site was designed to allow students, parents and teachers the opportunity to explore and research the manufacturing industry and all it has to offer. The industry is very large and has an abundance of career opportunities from trades to technical to management. The manufacturing industry provides engaging and rewarding careers for anyone. JAMA is currently providing information and resources to educators in order to introduce the world of manufacturing to students. We are developing partnerships and sharing information about the skills and talent a student must exhibit to work in manufacturing. Today’s world of
manufacturing is changing. Technology and science are creating exciting
products and careers. As an example, today’s motor engine will be replaced
to accommodate hydrogen fuel cells by the year 2010. This is a great time
for your student to discover the world of manufacturing and where it can
lead. |
